American Receivable Provides Access to Capital to Women Entrepreneurs

When American Receivable opened it’s doors more than 44 years ago, it was the exception to see a woman owned business.  Businesses were typically started and run by men who most often already had connections with customers, suppliers, and bankers.  Those kind of connections are invaluable to any start up.

As owners of a new factoring company our access to these connections were nearly non-existent.  As young entrepreneurs it seemed like we had to work twice as hard as everyone else to grow our business and especially to find financing for our business.  We remember those early years and how we were at times held back by a double standard.

Recent headlines have proudly proclaimed that in today’s economy women own over 13 million businesses, employ over 10.8 million people and create over $1.9 trillion in annual sales!  The rest of the story is that of total small business loan dollars only 4% go to women.  In a recent survey over half of women business owners said they had unmet financing needs.  The evidence that women business owners still do not have equal access to capital is alarming.

This is why American Receivable remains committed to provide our flexible factoring program, which never has a minimum amount to be factored, at the most competitive rates in the industry.  We are proud of the success of all our clients.  Especially our women entrepreneurs who run growing businesses often while raising a family and being involved in their community.  We celebrate our clients who have won both industry and civic awards.  And we celebrate all our clients who at the end of the day have provided for their employees, skillfully delivered their product or service, and kept their business growing in spite of the economy.  We are proud that we are contributing to their success.

If your company has been held back by not having enough capital American Receivable is here to help.  Our Streamlined Application is quick to fill out.  There is never an obligation or cost.  Our factoring portfolio is currently over 40% women owned businesses; we would be honored to get the opportunity to earn your business.
